Christmas Card Challenges - #38 - Anything Goes

Hello!

It's time for another week over at Christmas Card Challenges! This week is Anything Goes - and that's always fun - especially with Christmas. Christmas cards are still my favorite to make - even after all these years of card making! I love sending them out even more. :)

I used my Tim Holtz Mini Blueprints stamp set to stamp off this cute little paper coffee cup and colored it with PrismaColor Pencils. I die cut the banner with MFT Stitched Jumbo Fishtail FlagSTAX DieNamics and layered it over various patterned paper strips.  The sentiment is stamped from my MFT Hug In A Mug stamp set.

Adorable Elephants - 3 cards

Hello!

I'm popping in to share a few cards I made playing around with a new stamp I got last week. I had a "spell" in my craft room and I cleaned house. I don't know what came over me, but I got in a mood and I sold off most all my stamps! My daughter was laughing at me and kept saying "What are you doing?!". So, needless to say, I had to order a few more to replace them. And, I've been having fun playing with new ones...

So, I should preface this by saying if you don't like elephants, you probably don't want to look at all these. I was practicing my coloring, then made several cards with what I had colored and cut out. :)

This little sweetie is colored with Prismacolor Pencils. I layered it over patterned paper scraps using diecuts from various Blueprints from MFT. :D I used the large grid stencil and Cement Gray ink to make a subtle background over the Kraft card base.

I'm playing along with these challenges:

Inkspirational - Patterned Paper, Just Add Ink - sketch challenge, and The Paper Girls - color challenge.

Next up, is.....another elephant! :D

I used Distress Inks and Masking tape to make a fun background. I've been wanting to try this technique for ages and finally sat myself done with a little TV and did it!

I die cut the inked panel (Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade) using MFT's Double Stitched Rectangle DieNamics STAX and matted it before adhering to the Soft Stone PTI card base. I used Copic markers for coloring and finished it all off with a twine bow from Lawn Fawn and sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I used the current MFT Color Challenge for inspiration, as well as, Die Cut Divas - Birthday challenge, and I {heart} Sketches - choose a sketch (#069 for me) challenge.

For my last card -- more elephants -- I used the current MFT Sketch (turned landscape) and a blended/distressed panel I've been hanging onto for eons but never used. (insert eye roll -- I drive myself crazy!)

I just love this one. It's so cute and fun and happy. :) The distressed panel was die cut using the Double Stitched Rectangle STAX and the scallop and banner strip from various Blueprints DieNamics. The elephant, flower, and butterfly were colored with Copic markers before die cutting.

I'm also playing along with AAA Cards - Blending and Addicted to Stamps & More- Anything Goes.

GRAB OUR BADGE!

Well, that's it for me today. I'm off to tackle more painting and excited to get started. 8-) I think I'll miss it when I get the house finished! Eeks!

ABC Christmas Challenge - Q for Quick Layout

Hello!

I'm here playing "catch up" today, while it's a rainy day outside, the groceries are bought and stocked in the pantry, and I'm in between home projects today. (As soon as I hit up the paint store again for another room color, I'll be back in the trenches! )

The current challenge over at ABC Christmas Challege is Q for Quick Layout. (We are going to be to Z before we know it. UGH! Where has the year gone?!)

The sponsor of this challenge is

Photobucket

$10 gift certificate

Fred She Said Designs offers a wide variety of digital products with a floral flair and cute characters too - Digi's, Pre-coloured images, Papers, Sets, Fred's Flower Kits, and even digital cutting files.

Have some fun with Fred!

I made my quick little card with the pre-colored digi image "Little Fat Santa". He's SO cute!

I sponged a bit of Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink behind him and layered my panel with foam tape over a black card base trimmed out with a red striped paper strip. Super simple (and quick)! :)

Christmas Card Challenges #36 - Angels

Hello!

I'm popping in this morning to finally share my latest CCC card! Yikes. It's still just so busy around here! I'm loving it - but my crafty and bloggy time is going to the back burner every now and then. Believe it or not, I'm still painting away in our house! :) I've finished three projects in the past week and a half since school's started. It's super exciting to me to knock it all out. And I love how it looks. so that's even better. ;)

Since I don't have any "angel" crafty goodies, I printed some angel clip art (wings & halo) and layered my cute little kitty from MFT Cool Cat set over it. I put two sentiments together from the same set and from PS Christmas Sampler. I used the MFT Snow Drift dienamics to cut my curved panel and layered some CTMH Snowhaven paper I'm still hoarding behind it. :D

That's all for me for now! More catching up to do! :)

Hi There Summer Scene

Hello!

I'm here today - and trying to get in the groove! It's only the first full day with The Piglets back at school, but I'm trying to go on like it's a "normal" day. LOL. It always takes me a couple of weeks to adjust to them not being here. I admit - I was a little sad when I dropped them off this morning. Hubby says that's ok because I'm the mama. But, I feel a little silly, honestly. They drive me crazy laying around like a lazy cat all day, but when they aren't here, I'm bummed. Clearly, I can't be pleased! haha! :)

So, I'm going to share a card I've made that I love and stay busy as best as I can. :) (The new sleep schedule hasn't quite settled in for me either. I'm TIRED.)

I used my Let's Play set from Lawn Fawn and oodles of patterned paper scraps to paper piece this whole scene.

Everything is from the Lawn Fawn set I mentioned with the exception of the Curly Clouds Paper Smooches dies and the Snow Drift dies from MFT I used for the ground. :) It was relaxing to sit and trim these and watch a little mindless TV.

I was inspired by the current Patterns Challenge over at Lawnscaping

I"m also playing along with Die Cut Divas - Summer Vacations and the Critters & Creatures Linky Party
